I had the Moderna vaccine and have been bedbound with mystery fatigue ever since – it’s ruined my life
Determined to stay fit and healthy, Terry Omara was walking the length of a marathon every other day while caring for his elderly mother.
The London cab driver, from Sutton, had overcome a horrific battle with Long Covid in 2020 – fighting off pneumonia and sepsis – and one year later considered himself back in good health.
That was until 2022, when he was given the Moderna vaccine and soon found himself suffering unbearable pain and exhaustion, he claims.
Now Mr Omara, 60, says he remains so tired he can only wash once a week, and struggles to carry out simple tasks such as lifting a shopping bag.
After being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), the former cabbie believes the only explanation for his sudden exhaustion is the Moderna vaccine.
Speaking to MailOnline about his condition, Mr Omara said: ‘It’s ruined my life.
‘I felt great, and then 2022 I could have been run over. That’s how it felt. The pain, it was constant. It wasn’t until 2023 that I got sent to the chronic fatigue specialist who diagnosed me.’

Before the illness, Mr Omara said he was a carer for his elderly mother and walked the length of a marathon every other day
He added: ‘I’ve tried to figure out why I’ve come down so bad in 2022, and I noticed that in 2022 I took Moderna.
‘That’s the only thing I can think of that has caused me to have chronic fatigue.’
After his terrifying ordeal with Long Covid, Mr Omara recovered and became a carer for his elderly mother, who is 88.
But after falling chronically ill two years later, he claims he is in a worse state than people her age, despite being nearly 30 years younger.
‘Everything went wrong for me in the sense that I couldn’t get out of bed basically,’ he said.
‘The tiredness has not gone away at all, but the pain has subsided a bit.
‘I try and manage it; maybe once a week I can go out and do a bit of shopping. I have to be careful with what I do.
‘It’s horrible – I try and have a wash once a week.’

While Covid vaccines have unquestionably prevented millions of deaths, studies in recent years have linked them to chronic conditions affecting an undetermined number of people worldwide
He added: ‘I see people my mum’s age walking around. If I do a little walk I’m always holding people up.’
Mr Omara said he had previously taken the Pfizer and AstraZeneca Covid vaccines with no noticeable side effects. Since developing CFS, he has moved in with his mother in Wallington, deeming himself too ill to live alone.
He is on painkillers to manage the pain but said his fatigue has never gone away.
CFS is a severe condition that causes extreme tiredness and can also lead to cognitive problems, brain fog and difficulty concentrating.

Last month, it was reported that experts at Yale University have discovered an alarming syndrome linked to the mRNA Covid vaccines.
The previously unknown condition – dubbed ‘post-vaccination syndrome’ – appears to cause brain fog, dizziness, tinnitus and exercise intolerance.
The findings, from a well-respected institution, suggest more research on post-vaccination syndrome is needed, independent experts said.
The next phase of the research will be to ascertain how widespread the condition is and who is most at risk.
Thousands of people have said that Covid vaccines injured them since the shots were rolled out in 2021
