Here’s why Nicole Kidman will stay in the Nashville mansion she shared with Keith Urban: Source

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s longtime Nashville mansion — an estate known as the “Queen of Northumberland” — now hangs in legal limbo amid their ongoing divorce proceedings filed in Davidson County, Tennessee on Tuesday.

But, at least for now, a source told The Post that Kidman plans to stay put at their shared residence.

“I’m not sure that Nicole will want to remain in Tennessee full time after her children go off to college,” the source said. “But for now, the home will be a source of stability for them while navigating this separation.”

A rep for Kidman did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

Featuring seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, a home theater, tennis court, swimming pool, and 30-foot hobby room, the property has long been a private family retreat.

The couple purchased the home in 2008 for $3.47 million, acquiring two adjacent parcels in the gated Northumberland community.

Kidman plans to remain in the home as her full-time residence until the couple’s two daughters go off to college, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Public records indicate the roughly 2-acre compound has served as their primary residence throughout their marriage, which began in 2006.

The main residence spans approximately 10,925 square feet. It includes seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, two half baths, and a range of interior amenities including a private home theater and a 30-foot-long hobby room.

Outdoor features include a large swimming pool and private tennis courts, set within landscaped grounds designed for both privacy and entertainment.

The estate does not appear to include separate guest houses or outbuildings based on publicly available documents and aerial views.

Divorce filings submitted by Kidman, 58, on Monday cite “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for the split.

Meanwhile, sources confirm that Urban, 57, is no longer residing at the Northumberland estate, and is currently renting a separate residence nearby while the divorce proceedings continue. The country singer has been living at the rental since the beginning of the summer, when they first separated.

It is not immediately clear where that rental home is located.

The roughly 10,925-square-foot estate, which sits on 2 acres in the gated Northumberland community, was purchased by the couple in 2008 for $3.47 million.

While Kidman is expected to stay in the home for the sake of stability, she will likely relocate from Nashville once her children have left for school, the source said.

The filings also indicate Kidman is seeking primary residential custody of the couple’s two children.

Kidman and Urban share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

The home is referenced in court as their long-term family residence, with the children having “previously resided with both parties in Nashville, Tennessee since birth.”

The couple’s real estate holdings extend well beyond Nashville.

In the US, they have maintained properties in Beverly Hills and New York City, while Kidman’s Australian roots led them to acquire multiple estates in the state of New South Wales, including a historic farm in Sutton Forest.

In Sydney, they hold units in the Latitude Building, a 25-story luxury tower overlooking Lavender Bay and Sydney Harbour.

Still, the Northumberland compound has remained their most consistently occupied residence.

As the court prepares to review the marital dissolution and parenting plan agreements, documents obtained by The Post show, the future of the estate remains undecided.
